A very welcome BLAIR-generation upgrade to the Aputure 300 and 600 series! Like the 1200x, the 400x BLAIR-chipset delivers better color accuracy and higher brightness levels for the wattage than older Aputure models, as well as green-magenta adjustment (which the older 300x and 600x do not have). With that, it has a surprising amount of range for a “bicolor” light and is able to output saturated colors and gel-simulation effects (more than 70% of Rec. 2020 color gamut using Limited HSIC+ and x,y control modes).
It is much punchier than a 300x, with nicer color rendition, and keeping the flexibility, smaller footprint, and better rendition and ease of use.
